This Privacy Policy explains how For Keeps collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit forkeeps.uk (the "Site"), create an account, or place an order with us. It also explains your rights over your personal information.

Addington Ltd, trading as Positive Retail and online as "For Keeps" (company number 14330868, VAT number 448047973), of 76 Canterbury Innovation Centre, University Road, Canterbury, Kent, England, CT2 7FG, is the "data controller" of your personal information for the purposes of UK data protection law.

- Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider (Shopify Payments and/or other checkout payment methods). We do not store your full card details ourselves.
- Marketing information: your email address and marketing preferences, if you sign up to our newsletter or opt in to marketing communications.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Site, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Communications: any information you provide when you contact our customer support team.
3. How we use your information and our legal basis

- To process and fulfil your orders, including payment, delivery and customer service — necessary to perform our contract with you.

4. Who we share your information with
We share personal information with trusted third parties who help us run our business, including:
- Shopify, which hosts our Site and online store platform, and Shopify Payments (or other checkout payment processors), which process your payment securely.
- Delivery couriers and postal services, to fulfil and deliver your order.
- Email marketing and customer service platforms, to send marketing communications you have opted into and to manage customer support.
- Analytics and advertising providers (such as Google Analytics, and advertising pixels including Meta, TikTok or Pinterest), to help us understand Site usage and show you relevant advertising, where you have consented to non-essential cookies.
- Professional advisers and authorities, such as our accountants, insurers, or law enforcement, where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. International transfers
Some of the third parties we use (including Shopify and certain analytics or advertising providers) may store or process personal information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses, or reliance on an adequacy decision, to protect your information to UK standards.

We keep order and account information for as long as you have an account with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, VAT and accounting obligations (generally up to 6 years after your last order). Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep other information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including secure hosting and encrypted checkout, to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment providers and are not stored on our own systems.
